Siberian Huskies are northern beauties with sky-blue eyes.

Researchers believe that the Husky progenitors appeared about 4 thousand years ago somewhere in the region of the Chukotka Peninsula and Eastern Siberia. Aborigines there the ancestors of the Huskies were used as sled dogs. Without this, people could not survive. In addition, these dogs were very unpretentious and ate little.

The name of the breed is derived from the nicknames that whites bestowed on locals — eski, and their dogs — husky.
