Who would have thought that the woodpecker, familiar to us, has a rather exotic close relative - the Big Toucan, also known as perceyad toko.
Large toucans live in eastern Bolivia, southeastern Peru, northern Argentina, Paraguay, and southeastern Brazil, as well as the current Toko can be found along the course of the southern Amazon. Toko can live both in savanna and in the forest, most of all they love to dwell in open spaces, forest edges, coastal forests, but in the dense forests of the tropics you will not meet them. Quite often, large toucans lodge, and not far from human habitation, among palm plantations, they are also big lovers of getting closer to orchards.
