One of the representatives of the group of sparrows of the family of finches is common schur. These birds are much larger than greenfinch, chaffinch and bullfinch, belonging to the same family of birds. These birds have other names - "Finnish rooster" and "Finnish parrot".

Common Schur is an inhabitant of mixed and coniferous forests of Europe, North America, and their small population lives in the taiga forests of Asia. Only nest in coniferous forests. Schury lead both migratory and sedentary way of life.

Sometimes shurovs are confused with bullfinches, but even in the photo you can see that the birds differ markedly from each other.
