Hummingbirds are an extensive family of small bright birds, including many genera and about 330 species. The tiny feathered animals are truly incredible records: the smallest bird on the planet is the hummingbird bee, its growth with the tail is 5.7 cm, and the baby weighs only 2 g.

The heart of a flying hummingbird beats at a frequency of more than 1200 beats per minute. Hummingbirds fly at a speed of 400 of their own bodies per second, and this is much more than the speed of a spacecraft entering Earth's atmosphere! At the top of the peak, when the bird opens its wings, instantaneous braking occurs and not a single flying living organism can boast such a maneuver.
